What You'll Do As a member of the Accounting Department and reporting directly to the Controller, you'll be responsible for special project billing, sales tax verification and filings, bank reconciliations, preparing and entering journal entries, and any other functions to support the team.You'll take ownership of reporting costs, productivity, margins and expenditures for the company.The successful incumbent willpossess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills.At this point in the company's growth, Accounting & Finance is in a state of transformation so we're looking for exceptional talent that can stand out among the average by having a continuous improvement mindset, making it a regular practice to be intellectually curious and ask questions and always challenging the status quo. Responsibilities Prepare financial analyses and reports Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets Assist with annual audit preparations Prepare and support with journal entries and reconciliation of general ledger accounts Support with month-end responsibilities Prepare and/or support with sales tax analyses and filings Assist accounting team resolving any finance issues Support with preparing financial statements Assist with financial reporting and regulatory audits Assist with ad-hoc reports, projects, and activities, as required Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned What You'll Need We're looking for two (2) qualified professionals to join the team.The qualification with the asterisk is ideal for both but required of at least one of the roles: Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field of study 5+ years of Accounting/Finance experience Knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations (*)Experience in preparing State/local/sales & use tax filings Thorough understanding of accounting and tax preparation software and databases Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment using well developed time management skills and the demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and delegate when appropriate Project management skills Preferred: Oracle NetSuite proficiency Location This role will work from our Lisle, IL headquarters on a hybrid work schedule that offers the opportunity to work 3 days in office and 2 remote following your initial training period.
