Reference #: Summary: Sunoco LP is a leading operator of critical energy infrastructure and North America's largest independent fuel distributor. The Midstream Support team provides administrative support services to the Terminal, Pipeline and Project teams. The Capital Projects Support Specialist will be responsible for analyzing and preparing capital project requests on behalf of the Midstream operations team. The person in this role is also responsible for identifying process improvement and automation opportunities and working with the business, systems and capital project teams to continuously improve the process. Essential Functions: Stays current with Sunoco capital approval process, informs and provides guidance to midstream operations on how to process requests Assist operations and tech service teams in preparing capital request documents including scope, financial model and other necessary forms and documents Provide pre-read material and schedule meetings with VP/SVP leadership to align before requests are presented to capital committee Keep minutes from review meetings, ensure follow up for action items from leadership review and capital committee Coordinate with Finance team on setting up capital in SAP for approved projects Assist capital projects team and operations with monthly capital forecasting Responsible for identifying and recommending process improvement opportunities that result in more efficient process for capital request, setup and ongoing maintenance of AFE Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience At least two-years of experience in capital project administration, financial modeling or related areas Preferred Skills: Experience using SAP Fixed Asset tracking or similar systems that track and manage capital projects, forecasting and spending Experience using SAP, Microsoft Office Suite and related systems Detail oriented: should be meticulous about data accuracy across multiple systems. Strong oral and written communication skills: should be comfortable interacting with individuals across different departments and different levels within the organization. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization and timely completion of projects. Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision. Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level: The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
