Altumint is seeking a Field Engineer to be a part of our innovative team for the Virginia area, focusing on the deployment of advanced traffic safety and enforcement systems. This role involves assessing potential sites, crafting site diagrams, assisting in system setup, devising suitable solutions, and liaising with internal staff, clients and contractors for fresh deployments. Qualifications: Experience with mapping software Experience with Department of Transportation or other roadway agencies Experience with surveillance systems Knowledge of digital imagery Knowledge of network communications On-call after hours on an as needed basis Responsibilities: 2+ years of experience in a field engineer role or related position. Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong technical knowledge related to project specifics. Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols. Effective and succinct communication skills. Basic knowledge of electrical principles. Adept at interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams. Proficient with Windows operating systems (Windows XP, 7 and newer) and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word. Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
