Position Summary: The Wealth Advisor is a registered representative responsible for client acquisition, growth and servicing by providing a balanced combination of professional investment management and personalized financial advice. The Wealth Advisor shares the organization's commitment to understand, care for, and guide financial decisions involving asset management, planning, tax minimization, risk management, budgeting, and generational wealth education. The Wealth Advisor serves as trusted advisors for their clients, understand their financial needs, and offer powerful solutions. Essential Functions: • Actively solicits new and existing investment, insurance, annuity, and income solutions from affluent clients and their families by using an advice-based approach to financial solutions. • Profiles prospects and clients to deliver, through an individualized needs analysis, a diversified set of brokerage, investment and insurance and advice-based solutions to meet the individualized investment needs of current and potential customers. Prepares or interprets financial document summaries, investment performance reports, and income projections for clients. • Regularly reviews client accounts and financial plans to identify life or economic changes, situational concerns, or financial performance that may necessitate changes in those client plans. • Leverages internal and external referral sources to increase client book and assets under advisement and/or management. Referral sources include partnerships in retail, private banking, commercial and wealth management lines of business, as well as external centers of influence like attorneys, CPAs, and other advisors. • Meets or exceeds established sales goals, while meeting individual client needs and complying with pertinent policies and regulations. • Regularly reviews customer information to ensure compliance with BSA (Bank Secrecy Act), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer) and other regulatory requirements. • Accountable for the understanding of and adherence to operational controls, policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with bank policies and related laws and regulations. • Other related duties as assigned. Position Requirements (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities) • Broad-based technical knowledge of investments, markets, the economy, and high net worth portfolio management. • Intermediate level knowledge of MS Office with the ability to learn other job specific software applications • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to distill and convey information in a compelling manner. • Skill in adopting technological advancements and facilitating into current and future responsibilities. • Skill in discovering and working to meet underlying needs; following through on questions, requests, complaints. • Ability to anticipate, monitor, and meet the needs of customers (internal and external) and respond in an appropriate manner. • Ability to readily modify, respond to, and integrate change with minimal personal resistance. • Ability to anticipate, monitor, and meet the needs of customers (internal and external) and respond in an appropriate manner. • Ability to use one's time effectively and productively, especially at work. • Ability to work with others toward a shared goal, participating actively, sharing responsibility and rewards, and contributing to the capability of the team. • Ability to solve problems by analyzing situations and apply critical thinking in order to resolve problems and decide on courses of action and implement the solutions developed in order to overcome problems and constraints. • Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively and have positive relationships with customers (internal and external). • Possesses the drive to work towards a standard of excellence. Education/Experience: • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. • FINRA Series 7, Series 66 (preferably) or Series 63, and Virginia Life and Health Insurance licensing. • Minimum of three years' experience working in the financial service industry and/or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded. • Additional professional designations preferred, such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and/or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC).
