ICF is seeking an experienced WRITER/EDITOR to support federal grants financial management training and technical assistance (TTA) services. In this role, you will support U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (OJP) grantees as they build financial management capacity and infrastructure to support victim services, criminal justice, juvenile justice, and justice research programs. We are looking for a dynamic writer to lead the development of promotional content, digital strategy, and outreach. * This position is REMOTE and requires a Public Trust Clearance PRIOR to start date. The successful candidate will: Provide writing and editing support across the Grants/Financial Management (GFM) Practice in the Justice, Research, and Victim Services Portfolio. Independently manage a writing portfolio that supports three grant financial management projects. Track requests from projects and create templates to drive engagement and elevate resources. Ensure editorial quality control for all types of materials, from outreach templates to extensive curricula. Support the development of project deliverables and outreach communications such as reports, publications, eblasts, newsletters, social media, website content, and webinars. Develop talking points for senior leadership. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content clarity and readability, while assisting with writing, editing, fact-checking, and formatting training materials for both online and in-person sessions. Create digital products and draft copy for scripts, podcasts, and other materials to engage diverse audiences and increase resource traffic. Write content for training materials which may include manuals, worksheets, handouts, appendices, evaluation forms, agendas, and PowerPoint presentations for online and in-person training events. Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the specifications for this position. Your minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English; or closely related field such as communications or journalism from an accredited institution Minimum 3 years of experience writing and editing information on social science research (preferably in a justice-related field). US citizenship required by federal government contract. This position requires a Public Trust security clearance. Applicants will be subject to government security investigation to obtain clearance prior to the start date. Additional qualifications we expect you to have: Experience in the federal government sector. Proven success with content development in the field of victims' rights and services, juvenile justice or criminal justice. Familiarity with GovDelivery, Fed Relay, and ServiceNow platforms. Superlative writing skills and mastery of English grammar and syntax. Experience translating technical documents into lay terms for public consumption, and reviewing and editing varied work products, including items written by other team members. Knowledge of and experience with the GPO Manual of Style. Highly proficient in MS Office Applications: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint Professional skills you will use in this role Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills with the ability to engage audiences and communicate effectively in a virtual space. Adaptable team player with the ability to frequently change priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support, including the ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy. Comfortable serving as a resource and providing input to a senior management team. Ability to work collaboratively across TTA providers, the government client, subject matter experts, project partners, vendors, and internal staff. Effective time-management skills with emphasis on quality and timely completion of tasks; demonstrated knowledge of office procedures; and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision. Special considerations and complexities related to this position include frequently changing priorities, and interaction with high-level personnel, both within the project and the client office. Understanding of how to incorporate the principles of diversity, inclusivity, and cultural humility across all aspects of their work. Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information. Problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions. High quality management skills with attention to detail. Effective time-management skills with emphasis on quality and timely completion of tasks. Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $69,862.00 - $118,765.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
