Volvo Car USA is seeking a talented colleague to lead our Head of Quality, Americas, based in Ridgeville, SC. This leader will be responsible for effectively managing all functions and activities within the Americas Quality Department, which includes the functions of Regulations & Compliance (including Homologation), Warranty, Goodwill, Technical Material Analysis (TMA), Corporate Quality and Complete Vehicle Testing, and Technical Support, including Port Quality Operations. What this role will entail: Being a strong leader to drive the Volvo Values & Culture and managing the department to achieve key business objectives. Ensure that Warranty, Goodwill, Audit, and TMA processes run effectively, supporting both internal as well as external customer needs. Ensure that Technical Support (Port Quality Assurance, Technical Help Desk, Engineering Group (PEE/CMQ) and Field Technical Support) processes run effectively, supporting both internal as well as external customer needs. Ensure that Quality Processes are developed and undergo continuous improvement over time. Ensure that Volvo Car USA and Volvo Car Canada are well represented in Homologation, Regulatory, and Compliance interactions with Government Agencies, including but not limited to Transport Canada, EPA, NHTSA, CARB, etc. Ensure that Volvo Car USA is well represented in Automotive trade associations in all car related regulatory/compliance related matters. Ensure that all Customer Satisfaction and Emissions/Safety related Recall campaigns are conducted effectively. Ensure that North American related Complete Vehicle Testing processes run effectively, supporting Product Development in VCC. What you will bring to the table: Ideally has had previous experience within an OEM Quality department Demonstrated leadership skills, acquired through 15 or more years in leadership roles Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively globally and within the region Exceptional People Management capability with strong interpersonal skills Experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives and setting future business direction Excellent communication skills (in English) via phone, in person, and through presentations Ability to drive for continuous improvement by looking for new and innovative solutions University degree or equivalent work experience within related areas Ability to travel domestic and internationally for potentially 30% of role Who are we?
