What You Will Do At National Safety Apparel, we provide our customers with innovative and high-quality Military and defense apparel through our DRIFIRE and Wild Things brands. The Business Development Manager - Defense works to achieve sales budget goals by serving our great customers who purchase our world-class products and those who wear them. Responsibilities: Develop relationships and have frequent contact with key distribution partners (outside sales reps, inside sales reps, and key decision makers) Develop relationships and have frequent contact with key end users (supply officers, contracting officers, and all key decision makers) Develop a professional understanding of DRIFIRE and Wild Things products and protective technologies Understand the Berry Amendment, TAA U.S.A. apparel manufacturing, military contracting, purchasing, funding requests, and purchasing vehicles. Partner with distributors to provide DRIFIRE and Wild Things solutions to meet end-user requirements Provide solutions with innovative strategies to win business Carry out sales activities to meet defined performance metrics, including travel, activity, and reporting minimums Achieve territory sales budget goals and request quotes for distributor customers Strategically plan travel schedules and maintain an updated Microsoft Outlook calendar Maintain an up-to-date opportunity pipeline in Salesforce (CRM) Creatively address distributor and end-user user challenges, becoming a trustworthy resource and solution provider Who You Are You are a customer-focused and optimistic individual who thrives in team environments. Qualifications: Five years of experience in sales (2 years selling to the military is highly preferred) 50-75% Travel: This role is located in the Northeastern region of the USA and must be able to meet with customers indoors or outside in all weather conditions and must be able to travel by car and plane for long distances. Bachelor's degree highly preferred, but prior sales experience may be substituted Experience with MS Office tools, email, etc. as well as general tech savviness.
