Atrium Health , now part of the 3rd largest non-profit health system in the country, is seeking an Experienced GI Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for our Union West location. The ideal candidate will have at least two years in GI or working with patients with chronic health conditions. Job details: 100% Adult medicine at Atrium Health - Union West, a quick 30-minute drive from the heart of Charlotte, NC Hybrid role - alternating hospital and clinic daily, onsite 8 am-4:30 pm No after-hours call needed, cover one holiday annually in the hospital Perform in-person patient evaluations and medication management for adult patients in the ED (Emergency Department), hospital, and clinic settings Evaluate, stabilize, and treat patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases Aid in the insertion, change, and removal of percutaneous gastrostomy feeding tubes Perform hospital consultations, daily rounds with progress notes, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, and patient/family education and counseling Perform outpatient consultations and provide medical management and medications for adult patients The ideal candidate: Experienced APP with at least 2 years in Gastroenterology or other specialty areas focused on chronic health conditions Nurse Practitioner - Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice needed. License to practice as a Registered Nurse needed. Certification in practice from a nationally recognized certifying body is needed. Acute Care board certification is optional based upon population and acuity served. Physician Assistant - Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program needed, Master's Degree preferred.
