MISSION: Madison Energy Infrastructure ("MEI") believes in the power of clean energy infrastructure and has quickly emerged as a preeminent developer, investor, asset owner, and operator of distributed generation. This role represents a critical next step in MEI's evolution toward offering direct, end-to-end services to Fortune 500 corporates, public entities, nonprofits, and other private customers alike and building out development pipelines to finance renewable energy projects with our development partners. The Analyst, Real Estate and Title at MEI plays a vital role in supporting various aspects of procuring and managing the company's real estate title documentation for energy projects, having a key role in title procurement, invoicing, preparing title documents, and conducting preliminary reviews of title for MEIs Real Estate Counsel. Further, the role will be expected to assist in drafting and managing various legal documents and interactions with key stakeholders, vendors, and partners throughout the real estate process. The individual will be detailed oriented and responsible for the management, tracking, and documentation of all real estate related items and title documents related to MEI's energy projects. This role will work directly with MEI's Real Estate Team, its vendors, internal counsel, title companies, and municipal bodies. This role will involve drafting title related documentation (including commitments, pro formas, and other title related documents) and initial drafts of other real estate documents (memoranda, SNDAs, and other standard documents), managing invoices, submitting documents for recording with municipal land records offices, managing the title process with MEI's title specialist and title companies, and providing diligence support for projects during the acquisition-stage and beyond, in order to meet debt and tax equity title requirements. Additional support will be provided to maintain project data rooms related to real property for maximum efficiency among various internal teams and the Real Estate Team. This role will work with the MEI's Real Estate and Legal teams and will report directly to the Manager of Real Estate & Development within the MEI Real Estate Team. What You'll Be Doing Analyzing and assessing title commitments, prepare and record title/site control documents. Evaluating and editing title commitments, prepare legal exhibits, and draft other title curative documents. Assisting with research on chains of titles, deeds, identify and analyze county tax parcel data GIS data, and manage data related to title documents and other site control documents across land record databases. Developing initial drafts of real estate and site control documents. Assisting in the implementation of communication with third parties regarding title curative actions, track and tie-off open items necessary for site control diligence closing. Monitoring and tracking pipeline and status of abstracts and title work and collate accordingly for project financing. Ensuring data accuracy and integrity with title companies and development partners regarding deal closing and final commitment issuance. Assisting with debt financing checklist drafting and review as needed. Progress towards more complicated titles, real estate, and development work. Providing support with communication between real estate related matters between the real estate team/counsel and debt financing team. What We Are Looking For Demonstrate interest in working on real estate transactions and managing and developing title processes. Excellent documentation and communications skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teammates across functions. Ability to perform with a high degree of flexibility and resourcefulness and work independently. Strong attention to detail, organizational and record keeping skills. Demonstrated knowledge of general business and industry practices, processes and familiarity with federal and local real estate laws and practices preferred. $70,000 - $90,000 a year Madison Energy Infrastructure is an equal opportunity employer.
