MagneticSeal has an opportunity for a ProductionForeman to join our team! This will be an onsite positionlocated in Warren, Rhode Island. Position Summary Plan, direct and coordinate workflowactivities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordancewith cost, quality, effectiveness in processes that meet customerrequirements. Responsible forimplementing and supporting Lean programs, adhere and enforce policies andprocedures, and enforce a safe and productive work environment while drivinggoals and objectives of the organization. The Production Foreman will support Management initiatives and provideand track assigned metrics to accountability for Cost of Goods Sold, LaborMetrics, costing. Additionalresponsibilities will include supporting, communicating, and working with,other departments to achieve desired customer requirements, audits, processstandardization, waste elimination and continuous improvement. The Production Foreman will proactively drivea culture of continuous improvement and projects that are aligned with ourcompany goals and objectives. A naturalleader, with a proven track record of success in coordinating teamwork, supervise,train, motivate evaluate personnel. Provide conflict resolution and disciplinary action in line with MagSealPolicies and procedures. EssentialFunctions: - Supervise, coordinate, facilitate, and provide leadership to employees directly or through team leads to execute weekly/monthly/quarterly commitments to the organization. - Review processing schedules and productions orders to assure inventory requirements, work procedures and assignments while considering budget and time constraints - Direct and coordinate production and processing efforts - Coach and mentor Team Leads and other leaders on the shop floor to enhance their skills and grow as new leaders. - Review production operations and confer with technical or admin staff to resolve production or processing problems - Assure smooth running of all cells and quality of output - Enforce all health and safety precautions - Execute production schedules - Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to meeting our customer requirements and on-time delivery. - Act as the driving force to identify opportunities and initiate new processes / practices designed to enhance o-operations, reduce costs and support the attainment of established goals utilizing LEAN principles - Performs other duties as assigned. Collaborative Efforts: - Work closely with other management personnel throughout the organization to ensure the efficient, profitable operation of the Manufacturing operation. - Work with purchasing to select, order and purchase materials needed - Liaison with engineering, quality, and sales staff to assure contract review requirements and on time delivery - Institute and encourage a team involvement culture - Resolve conflicts and communicate and reconcile differences within and between departments and cells. - Work with HR to conduct employee training programs - Work with management to recommend and implement organizational initiatives, processes, and policy changes. Metric Ownership: - Collect, analyze, and present quality data to upper management - Utilize and manage metrics to include cell output metrics - Meet and review operational budget - Other metrics as assigned. Leadership Qualities: - Ability to motivate, coach, develop and direct personnel towards maximum performance - Identify unique talent and make suggestions for the best fit to tasks - Hire, train, evaluate employee performance - Resolve personnel grievances to include required warnings or discharge - Guide, direct and motivate subordinates - Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships - Coordinate the work and activities of the shop employees - Implement organizational process or policy changes Qualifications: - Problem solving skills to perform root cause analysis and corrective action. - Understanding of quality standards and safety regulations - Acts in a self- confident manner - Strong communication skills - oral, written and presentative - Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and conduct that conforms to MagSeal values and culture - Assures smooth running of all cells with high quality result - Possess strong self-motivation, drive and takes initiative to reach goals and target assignments - Project Management skills - Identifies and addresses safety concerns and adheres to all safety guidelines. - Exceptional organizational and planning skills to time manage - Understand both verbal and written instructions as it relates to work orders - Highly responsible with ability to make and meet deadlines. Education and Competencies: - Understand the requirements of AS9100 Quality Management System - Experience with ERP systems - High School Diploma and a minimum of 7 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with experience in the metals industry is required. - Computer skills to include Microsoft office, ERP software, time management software such as outlook - Experience with employee time and attendance software - Inventory management - Proficient in Microsoft excel - Six Sigma certification desired but not required - Various machine operation knowledge Physical Requirements: - Able to stand and walk frequently. - Able to sit frequently. - Able to type occasionally. - Must be able to bend, squat and kneel occasionally. - Able to handle and grasp tools/equipment and products frequently. - Must be able to push/pull up to 10 lbs. occasionally. - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs rarely. - Visual Acuity - Able to see close detail, distance and colors frequently, - Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment constantly.
