Duties & Responsibilities - Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a strong Christian witness in all interactions with youth, staff, donors, volunteers, and the general public so as to uphold Black Mountain Home's mission of Glorifying God by caring for children, youth, and families . - Commit to pray regularly for the youth, staff, and ministry. Buildings & Grounds - Supervise the care and maintenance of campus buildings and grounds by: - Supervising and providing leadership to the Buildings & Grounds Coordinator, Maintenance Support & Farm Manager, and Maintenance Support staff, including weekly team supervisions. - Identifying areas of growth in efficiency and organization of the maintenance department. - Working with the Buildings & Grounds Coordinator for provision of services and repair arrangements, ensuring that maintenance requests submitted through WorxHub are completed within deadlines set. - Managing the WorxHub system, keeping assets and floor plans up to date for each building. - Seeing that all buildings and grounds are maintained and provide a positive and clean appearance. - Overseeing the maintenance and general upkeep of the buildings and grounds at Whitewater Cove, making a minimum of quarterly site visits. - Working with the Maintenance Support & Farm Manager to provide oversight to the animal program. - Maintaining a current assessment of campus vehicles and coordinating the replacement and purchase of new vehicles in coordination with the VP of Operations and President. - Maintaining updated projects list for all Black Mountain Home facilities. Volunteer Program - Oversee the management of all Buildings and Grounds volunteers to include, but not limited to, the following: - Following the Volunteer Coordinator's initial contact with a volunteer group, determine the group's project and assign a staff leader for the group. Serve as the primary contact for group through planning, while on-site, and through follow up. - Maintain communication with volunteer group leaders leading up to their projects to discuss project changes and/or developments, funding for the project, etc. Keep the Volunteer Coordinator aware of all changes for the volunteer calendar and email confirmations. - Oversee the coordination of project details and preparation of supplies with the Buildings & Grounds team and any other staff involved and with guidance from the VP of Operations as necessary. - Supervise volunteer groups as needed and assigned. - Serve as the primary contact for all Buildings and Grounds RV volunteers and ensure implementation of work schedules. - In conjunction with the VP of Operations, help resolve any issues that may arise with Building and Grounds volunteers. Other Responsibilities - Attend staff meetings which include participation in a time of Christian devotion and prayer. Review minutes and sign off for missed meetings to stay aware of ministry updates. - Serve as an active member of the Core and Expanded Leadership Teams and CQI Committee. - Serve as a member of the facility on-call rotation. Assume facility on-call responsibilities and provide after-hours support when on-call. - Coordinate and assist with picking up donations as needed. - Take photos or arrange for another individual to take photos of volunteer projects and all campus improvements. - Work independently and as a team player within the ministry. - Problem solve and complete other projects as requested. Continuing Education/Training - Complete required training hours as detailed below: - Twelve (12) hours per training year if you do not provide direct care coverage. - Twenty-four (24) hours per training year if you provide direct care coverage. - All trainings that are marked as mandatory for your role and for all staff no matter how many hours you have completed. Requirements Minimum Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field is preferred. •Five years of related experience Responsible to: VP of Programs and President
