Summary: The Senior Cost & FP&A Analyst supports the cost and manufacturing accounting processes for the Wheeling, Illinois location. This role will report directly to FP&A Manager. The role is responsible for timely and accurate collection and reporting of cost and inventory related financial information and cost variance analysis. The role partners with and supports the leadership team across Fluid Management. Position requires knowledge of U.S. GAAP and manufacturing / financial reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley, and business operations in a growth-oriented environment. Success in this position requires the ability to build a strong partnership with the business operations staff and to provide timely suggestions for cost reduction and margin improvement. Key Responsibilities: Direct participation in the month-end close, including required journal entries. Creates Monthly Business Review package and supporting analysis. Prepares and reports month end manufacturing variance reports. Build and review various daily/weekly operating metrics to monitor business performance. Analyzes and reviews bills of material to ensure accurate product costing. Gather and analyze actual versus budget analysis, manufacturing profit variance analysis, and actual to standard cost comparisons. Maintains weekly key customer summary for commercial team. Proposes improvements in Operations and Working Capital. Supports annual budget, monthly forecasting, & SIOP process. Prepares quarterly EOZ analysis. Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance. 4+ years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a process focused organization (Six Sigma, Value Streams). Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Advanced Microsoft Office specifically Excel experience is required. JD Edwards (JDE) experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Outstanding communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions to be able to work effectively with direct and cross functional teams. Self-motivated, focused and able to identify needs and implement solutions with minimal supervision. Strong understanding of SOX and internal controls, especially in a manufacturing environment and general accounting concepts. Streamline and automate complex processes. Excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated project leadership skills. Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to make ethical and sound business decisions to continually mitigate risk for the business.
