Position Summary: The Business Development Executive opportunity is part of the business development team at MedInsight. This high visibility role will drive business development strategy and execute on creating, developing, and closing large scale solutions within a defined territory of named accounts. This hire will work with the SVP of Sales and Growth along with peers and team members in the commercial organization to achieve revenue goals. In addition, the role will have support from marketing and pre-sales to supplement the sales process with product demonstrations, technical insights and more. This Business Development Executive position is a highly consultative sales role; however, the right candidate will be passionate about rolling up their sleeves and taking action to get things done. This includes driving prospecting and pipeline growth initiatives, leading opportunity strategy, and communicating strategic positioning to prospects for large enterprise software sales opportunities. Primary Responsibilities: Become a certified expert on the entire MedInsight suite of products and solutions - being able to expertly present MedInsight's value proposition, pitch decks, ROI messaging differentiation points and business case to prospects Keep well-informed of industry trends and insights on the competition Develop your national territory through research and outbound activity, aligned to the comprehensive MedInsight sales strategy Qualify leads and map out potential contacts in your markets Conduct outbound opportunity development through partnership with marketing Convert prospect relationships in partnership with sales development resources through regular calls, emails, marketing efforts and business development meetings with decision makers Actively listen to prospects and clients; probe deeper to understand business needs and work to create solutions from the ground up Assist in crafting value messaging for prospect engagement Strategic selling (Challenger method) to multiple stakeholders: CFO, Director of Data & Analytics, Chief Actuary, Director of Medical Economics, CIO, Population Health and finance leaders. Achieve (and exceed) your annual sales quota Add, maintain and track business development efforts, forecasts and activity in Salesforce Preferred Skills and Experience: BA/BS degree or the equivalent Master's degree or MBA (preferred but not required) Minimum 7+ years of full cycle new business development in complex, consultative sales environments including the following: Experience in building and executing strategic territories Track record of building long term relationships and multi-year contracts with VP, SVP and C-suite decision makers Expert in creating high profit proposals and effectively closing deals across multi-level stakeholders History of consistently meeting and exceeding quota selling into prospects/new accounts Experience presenting and facilitating group discussions to a desired outcome Excellent communication, negotiation and questioning skills Preference for candidates that have been selling in the digital healthcare and analytics space, insurance analytics or venture capital space Analytical and Creative: Able to leverage data to form inspired solutions to problems Consultative & Confident Approach: Critical thinker, able to effectively comprehend complex business issues and develop solutions and communications that work for varying stakeholders Entrepreneurial: Ability to see the unexpected opportunities in situations and create something from nothing. Strategic thinker not above being tactical to get the job done Emotionally Intelligent: Adept at building and influencing relationships, takes constructive criticism well and leverages it for continuous improvement Intellectually Curious: Penchant for seeking out new experiences, knowledge and candid feedback and an openness to learning and change Detail Oriented: Recognizes that the small things make all the difference and pays attention to everything Articulate: Effective communicator, clear and concise in both verbal and written communication Organized & Adaptable: Adept at planning and execution, capable of prioritizing and accomplishing goals across a spectrum of concurrent tasks for varying stakeholders Energetic, Optimistic and Hard-working: Maintains a can-do attitude and is unrelenting in the pursuit of excellence Team player DNA with a desire to solve for the interests of our clients and of our business Strong attention to detail, highly organized, with an absolute focus on quality of work Compensation and Location: The salary range is $96,000 - $194,000, depending on a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc. This role can be located remotely within the US.
