StratusGrid is seeking a highly collaborative sales manager who wants to be an integral part of building and maturing our sales organization at StratusGrid. The ideal candidate understands the nature of working as a key part of a team in a growing company and is excited about the opportunity to help our organization reach the next level. We will be working together to mature existing tools and processes while simultaneously building and experimenting with new business models and sales techniques, and incorporating learnings into our people, processes, and technology that make up StratusGrid's sales organization. Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead, guide, and mentor sales team members to help them mature and grow in their career skills and individual execution Talent Development: Provide mentorship, coaching, accountability, and growth opportunities to nurture talent within the team; Create and manage team and individual goals while optimizing for buy-in, priority, and great outcomes; Create and nurture a motivated and high-performing team Collaboration: Collaborate with customers and team members across the organization, especially in Solutions Architecture, Customer Success, Marketing, and Project Management, to help us all win as a team while delivering immense value to our customers Decision Making: Properly informing, participating in, making, and communicating decisions which will directly impact the success and growth of StratusGrid; utilizing data and analytical thinking to identify the important details to optimize for in the decision process Problem Solving: Cut through the noise surrounding problems which are escalated to you; correctly identify the important items to optimize for; identify appropriate paths forward to reach your goals while bringing the rest of the team with you Passion for Improvement: Continuously raise the bar to make the sales process faster, more consistent, better integrated, and an amazing experience for customers with every experience Build and Operate Systems: Experiment with sales methodologies, sales models, process, and tooling to constantly improve the Sales system while bringing your team and the rest of the organization along with you Goal Attainment: Build a winning team that can reliably set and achieve goals; take an active part in owning and driving deals as needed to ensure we are consistently delivering results while we expand Risk Management: Assist project team members in navigating blockers and other risks; Serve as an escalation path for internal and external stakeholders to quickly and effectively resolve issues and manage risk Work System Use: Ensure work systems meet the sales sales team's needs needs, as well as the needs of other teams; ensure work systems are used to capture and prioritize work, provide performance insights, and keep deals moving forward Performance Metrics: Work with leadership to continuously refine and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate sales organization performance; Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance overall performance; Present regular readouts to the business to drive awareness and inform key decisions. Some of the KPIs covered include: Goal attainment Due date performance Pipeline forecast Funnel conversion performance Cycle time Upsell/Cross-sell performance Customer Acquision Cost Resource Management: Effectively manage budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation to optimize sales volume and acquisition costs. Requirements: Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in Sales, with a minimum of 2 years in a management role. Minimum of 2 years in a role with a company with 50-150 team members. The ideal candidate would have been involved in a company that grew from 50 to 150+ team members. Ownership: Strong sense of ownership to drive things forward and meet time and deliverable commitments, while overcoming obstacles along the way Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, navigate ambiguity, and adapt quickly to changing market conditions, project requirements, and priorities Customer Focus: Proven track record in maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication, relationship management, and service excellence Constant Quest for Understanding: Systems thinker who is always learning and digging in to understand true root cause and implement systemic solutions to problems as they arise Cloud Computing Knowledge: High-level knowledge of cloud computing platform, and customer use cases that cloud platforms solve; the ideal candidate would have had experience selling cloud platforms and/or adjacent solutions Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, capable of inspiring, mentoring, and leading teams toward successful outcomes Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences Collaboration: Skilled at building collaborative relationships with internal teams, clients, and partners Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with strategic and analytical thinking What do we offer in StratusGrid?
