Shore United Bank is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist II to join our team. This role will be responsible for processing invoices, verifying transactions, reconciling accounts, and communicating with vendors to ensure timely payments and accurate records. Ideal candidates should possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Essential Functions Include: Review all invoices for appropriate documentation. Serves as the initial control point for assigned invoice expenses to correct G/L and accounting center. Verify all expenditures are approved by and authorized officer. Processes manual check on an as requested basis, i.e. mortgage foreclosure, etc. Audit, verify, and process credit card bills and expense vouchers. Ensures all invoices are entered into the Accounts Payable system with accurate date; tracks the invoices until due and ensures invoices are paid timely taking advantage of discounts. Reconcile accounts payable transactions. Match invoice to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date. Researches and responds to all accounts payable inquires in a timely manner. Assists employees, vendors, clients, auditor, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services. Maintains the accounts payable prepaid module. Assists with vendor management requirements such as W-9, risk rating and contract review. 1099 Maintenance and annual filings. Maintain analysis of capital budget items. Assist with daily general ledger account analysis and/or suspense review. Assist with all investment activity Assist with period close, including payable accruals. Assist with the input of G/L manual entries. Assist with departmental projects as needed. Crosstrain to provide support in all areas of department Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc. Location: Clark Building - 30 E. Dover Street, Easton, MD 21601 Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-time. Non-exempt. Days of Work: Monday-Friday. Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Specialized accounting education and training. Experience with general ledger. Two years' experience in an accounts payable role. Compensation: The pay range for this position is $21.15 - $31.10 hourly. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
