Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Transportation Manager to lead our evening shift operations. The primary responsibilities include ensuring a safety-first culture, overseeing driver and associate development, and maintaining operational efficiency. This role also involves building high-performing teams and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve department goals. Responsibilities: Champion safety procedures and training to create a safety-first culture in the Transportation department. Oversee driver and associate development through coaching, training, and problem resolution. Lead and supervise drivers and clerical associates to ensure productivity and customer satisfaction. Monitor production goals and maintain accuracy and efficiency while adhering to DOT regulations. Conduct routine safety and driver meetings and oversee maintenance of driver qualification files. Investigate accidents, maintain an accident file, and track causes to take appropriate preventative action. Effectively schedule working shifts using appropriate planning tools. Qualifications: Minimum of three years of transportation/delivery experience and one year of workforce oversight Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods, and procedures Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills Understanding of DOT requirements and familiar with inventory control, OSHA, and regulatory requirements Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office) High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred This position requires occasional travel and physical activities such as driving a vehicle, sitting, and lifting moderate weights.
