Pony Bird is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities. PAY RANGE OF $32.70 - $40.88 BASED ON EXPERIENCE EXCELLENT BENEFITS PAID TRAINING What does a Registered Nurse do? Develop and assist in the implementation of Individual Support Plans Monitor care of individuals and provides the support necessary to improve care and individual outcomes Provide assessments which include face to face evaluations with individuals served and feedback from Direct Support Professionals Delegate tasks to unlicensed caregivers related to individual care needs Coordination and oversight of the Level 1 Medication Aide training program Provide Community RN coverage to assigned locations Competent to maintain a cohesive nursing team Establish a framework of evidence-based nursing practice Review, interpret, and analyze lab results Review of medication administration records for accuracy and employee compliance, medication labels, monitor for side effects, effectiveness, frequency of PRN use, drug storage of routine and PRN medications, and check for supporting diagnosis. Review of records to include weight, immunizations records, bowels, vitals, blood sugar, dietary, fluids, seizure, menses, skin, range of motion, consultation reports, event reports for falls, injuries, medication errors, hospitalizations and ER reports, and significant change in behavior, etc. Participate in a 24-hour 7-day period on-call rotation that supports the medical need in community living after hours Schedule and Work Location: Monday - Friday, approximately 8:00am - 4:30pm On-call rotation outside of regular office hours Hillsboro Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of registered nursing (RN) experience and a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience. *Must be licensed to practice as a RN in the state of Missouri. CPR/AED certified. Valid Missouri Chauffer's License Certified Level 1 Medication Aide Instructor or obtain upon hire Certified DMH Community RN or obtain upon hire Experience and knowledge of care principles affecting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Supervisory and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent keyboard and software skills Ability to maintain confidential information Knowledge of the care planning process. Proven ability to be flexible and responsive to consumer needs. Must be able to take and give accurate verbal directions and telephone orders. Ability to work independently.
