We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to work in our advanced manufacturing assembly department based out of the Hopkinton, MA location. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. This position will be responsible for the build and assembly of precision machinery, automation systems, and motion control systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mechanical assembly of devices requiring precision alignments and metrology Soldering of small gauge wires (28-36 gauge) Using a microscope for precision alignments and soldering of small devices Interpreting mechanical and technical product drawings and documentation Ability to use standard office applications (Word, Excel, Email) Skills and Requirements Ability to complete complex mechanical assembly tasks and precision metrology measurements Moderate soldering experience, J-STD-001 preferred Familiarity with precision mechanical alignments, tools and techniques Can use multi-meters, wire strippers, and standard assembly and metrology tools Ability to complete assembly and metrology records for regulatory and QC requirements Use 5S and Lean principles in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize work Education High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree or technical certificate in a related field preferred What We Provide: Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA PPO medical plan with HSA Dental and vision insurance LTD & Life insurance 401k with a generous company match PI (Physik Instrumente), LP is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
