This position will work in a local WIC office in Spokane, has a dedicated Monday-Friday dayshift schedule, and starts at $24/hr. What you'll be doing This position provides competent nutrition and breastfeeding education and support along with up-to-date nutrition education individually or in a group setting to qualified women, infants, and children. This position also functions as a lead with responsibilities for completing peer Quality Assurance, staffing schedule development and coordination with other program leads, acute conflict resolution with regards to client services, liaison for building meetings, in-services, workforce training and providing input and feedback to program manager on staff training needs. Some Essential Functions Include: Performs client services and certifications in accordance with the WA State WIC policy and procedures. Completes nutrition assessment to identify and assign risks per WIC protocol. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of WIC program guidelines and procedures by communication with supervisor, Washington State WIC, or referring to WIC manual Develops staffing schedules, with direction from program manager, and oversees input of client schedules into Cascades. Completes and assigns peer Quality Assurance (QA) per SRHD/WIC protocols, including chart reviews and observations if directed to do so by program manager. For a complete detailed job description, click here What we need from you Required qualifications: High School Graduate or GED Five years of experience as a WIC Certifier 1 (or equivalent position) Satisfactory completion of Washington WIC Competent Professional Authority training program Valid motor vehicle license and current auto insurance or the ability to access multiple sites in a timely manner Current registration as a Medical Assistant in the state of Washington Preferred qualifications: Higher education in public health or nutrition-related field Leadership experience Check out our website below If you share our values, we want to hear from you!
