As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in helping to win commercial construction projects, providing accurate and competitive hard bid estimates that drive our success. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Our ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience in construction estimating and a deep understanding of the construction industry. Responsibilities: 1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. 2. Utilizing your expertise in hard bid estimating to deliver competitive and accurate bids. 3. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions. 4. Reviewing and analyzing project plans and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of a project. 5. Evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and budget. 6. Participating in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather accurate information for estimates. 7. Maintaining and updating a database of historical cost data for use in future estimates. 8. Providing technical support and guidance to junior estimating staff. 9. Participating in post-bid reviews to learn from successful and unsuccessful bids. Qualifications: 1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on commercial projects. 2. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. 3. Proven expertise in hard bid estimating. 4. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail. 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team. 6. Proficiency in using estimating software and other relevant computer applications. 7. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. 8. A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
