Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostics and repair work on diesel vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, and brake systems. Troubleshoot and conduct failure analysis using precision tools such as micrometers, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment. Oversee and manage the daily workload of other mechanics, serving as a lead within the shop. Ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA regulations. Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and repair times. Conduct safety checks, preventive maintenance, and assist with service calls for breakdowns. Work collaboratively with other technicians, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Qualifications: ASE Diesel Certification (preferred). Valid CDL "A" license (preferred). Advanced understanding of diesel engine components and diagnostic tools. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment. Attention to detail and proficiency with repair tools.
