Apply Refer a Friend Back Share This Page Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share via Email Job Details Requisition #: Location: Johns Hopkins Health System, Baltimore, MD 21201 Category: Leadership Schedule: Day Shift Job Summary The Director of Clinical Sourcing within The Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) Supply Chain Department is responsible for leading, managing, transforming and developing the clinical category of products and services portfolio for JHHS. This includes creating and executing against a contracting strategy and leading, managing and developing a team of Clinical Sourcing Leads, Sourcing Specialists, Contract Analysts and Project Leads to manage and strategically source and manage contracts for a category clinical products and services. The Director of Clinical Sourcing will also oversee day to day contracting activities such as the monitoring of contract performance, the development, evaluation and management of vendor relationships, the drafting and negotiating of contracts, the building of relationships with JHHS stakeholders (particularly physicians and nurses) and the implementation of contracts with end users. This position will also develop presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders and engage with them to build consensus on product standardization and purchase aggregation across the JHHS. In collaboration with the Analytics and Value Analysis Directors, this role oversees benchmarking activities, the reviewing of industry best practices and other initiatives to achieve cost savings and increase quality. The process of leading and developing a contract portfolio for a category of clinical products and services should at all times be aligned with the vision for the future of Supply Chain, namely, sourcing the best quality products at the best price, treating customers with service orientation and focusing on supply chain excellence internally. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required in Supply Chain, Business, Applied Science, Nursing or other related programs. Master's preferred. Minimum of 8 years in Supply Chain or related field, including experience in the management of clinical and related lab products and services and associated expenditures. 3 years of prior leadership experience required. Healthcare experience required. Applicants with strategic sourcing, value analysis, asset management tracking, vendor relationships, and negotiation experience are preferred. Deep understanding of Supply Chain functions, including, but not limited to, knowledge of GPO and local contract sourcing as well as related procedures pertaining to materials management and purchasing. Extensive knowledge of supply chain contract management, contracting strategies and contract management across clinical departments is also required. Knowledge of strategic sourcing including analyzing spend, benchmarking, reviewing industry best practices and achieving cost reduction Strong knowledge of financial, operational and quality improvement initiatives, including cost-benefit analysis and financial feasibility studies to develop value analysis strategies and plans Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
