This position will require fully onsite work at NAS Pax River located in St. Mary's County, MD. This position is contingent upon contract award. This position will perform research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.   Primary Duties: Research, design, and develop, and test operating systems-level software, compliers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications Set operational specifications, formulate, and analyze software requirements. May design embedded systems software. Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree a Associates Degree may be substituted plus four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the job description. In lieu of a Associates degree six (6) years additional work experience performing duties described in the job description may be substituted. Over 10 years of combined experience performing duties from the job description Security + Certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of filling the position Experience coordinating and leading teams in software development and test (desired) At least 10 years of experience with server development- Windows and Linux operating systems (desired) Experience applying system patches and Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls (desired) Clearance: This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Top Secret/SCI Secret Security Clearance. Compensation: While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000.
