Southwest Baptist University, in partnership with the national search firm Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and nominations for the positions of Open Rank DPT Faculty with specialties in Pediatrics, Neurology, Cardiopulmonary, or Acute Care. Southwest Baptist University seeks collaborative faculty members interested in either 9-month or 12-month appointments. In addition to teaching, faculty members participate in the mentoring of students, professional development, clinical competence, program accreditation, curriculum evaluation, research, service to the University, and other scholarly activities. Faculty at Southwest Baptist University serve as content experts in their field and fulfill the mission through faith integration in an academic setting. Responsibilities: Teach assigned curricular load credits, and advise and mentor students Participate in research and/or scholarly activities Engage in professional development and responsibilities Maintain clinical competence Potentially serve as Director of Clinical Education Conduct ongoing program assessment through data collection, review, and analysis Serve as mentor and content expert for adjunct faculty Participate in student success efforts such as remediation, success plans, etc. Ensure a positive and effective learning environment for students Set an example of a Christian lifestyle for students, staff and faculty Qualifications: Earned academic doctoral level education degree (i.e. PhD or equivalent) Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program Experience or advanced education in areas of Pediatrics, Neurology, Cardiopulmonary, or Acute Care. Licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Missouri (or eligible and license obtained within 90 days of employment); Knowledge of curriculum and teaching area.
