Physician Liaison Manager - Network Growth - Day - Lancaster and Lebanon County Location: WellSpan Health, Ephrata, PA Schedule: Full Time Hours: M-F Day Full Time: 40 hours/week General Summary Accountable to develop and maintaining strong alliances with target Providers in a defined service area. The Liaison executes strategic initiatives to increasing loyalty and preference to WellSpan services and affiliated programs. The liaison works cohesively with leadership and service line administrators to drive and sustain growth in procedural and ambulatory services aligned with both the market, and enterprise business plans. Participates in strategic market planning and identifies physician targets to achieve projected growth through utilization of WellSpan's data analytic tools. Delivers prospective business plans and retrospective performance reviews to leadership on a quarterly basis. Responsible for both field visits to physicians and referral staff in offices, as well as regular interaction with facility executive leaders and service line administrators. Duties and Responsibilities Collaborates with WSH leadership to identify and align on key WSH physician practice targets and initiate relationships with system leadership (service line leadership, medical directors, market presidents etc.). Position WSH as partner of choice, conveying partnership value, tailoring conversations as appropriate to practices unique needs and value drivers. Manage relationship progression and report internally. Recognized by internal stakeholders as the field extension for the leadership team, and the primary market intelligence contributor for network and program development planning. Establishes account plans and align with POD team on targets, objectives, metrics, and timelines. Manages longitudinal relationships with established WSH affiliated practices, focusing on continued engagement and expansion of care alignment opportunities. Functions as a key resource to provide information and drive accretive referral growth for marketing, service line, and division leadership, providers and administrators. Aggregates and shares competitive intelligence and opportunities in a way that facilitates and encourages discussion and positions opportunities for operational improvements. Understands how to interpret data from internal and external sources to swiftly identify and manage aligned provider leakage. Effectively prioritizes outreach efforts to maximize quality time with targeted referral opportunities to drive growth. Identifies, cultivates, and retains provider referral sources to achieve service line growth objectives. Stays current on hospital policies and procedures, insurance company requirements, industry trends to have meaningful dialog with providers. Identifies new community provider targets to participate in Wellspan's Value Based Strategies. This includes but is not limited to ACO's, participation in narrow networks, and value based contracting programs. Develops competencies for all available data analytic tools then leverages information from these reports to develop service line business plans. Facility leadership, manager and PRM Director will review PRM service line growth plans. Incorporates a holistic system approach to business planning. Plans include not just physician targeting, but responsive service recovery and pull through strategies with internal administrators. Completes timely and comprehensive reports as directed from Sr Director and Wellspan Corporate. Participates in Facility Strategy, Marketing, and Development planning committees and regular meetings. Maintains a regular presence in the Facility/s the liaison represents. Coordinates and conducts periodic educational events to drive service line growth. Qualifications Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree In Business or Healthcare. Required Masters Degree In Business or Healthcare. Preferred Work Experience: 3 years Experience in sales, strategy or administration with a focus on the physicians, office staffs or other medical specialties strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. Excellent communications/interpersonal skills. Analytical, communication, marketing and relationship-building skills. Strong customer service and organizational skills.
