Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities Provide administrative support to safety team as directed, including data-entry on worksheets or safety documents. Maintain and update incident logs, OSHA log, OSHA reports, worker's compensation reports, and any additional company safety reports. Assist with case management of open claims through to closure; notify safety director or safety manager of status changes. Track light-duty employees through to full release to work. Builds relationships with senior leadership, management teams, supervisors, and field personnel to promote and maintain a safe workplace. Keep apprised of new regulations and developments in the field of health and safety. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations Travel to multiple job site locations to support safety meetings at the company's various locations Schedule and perform jobsite visits and safety audits, with the goal of controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee practices Review documentation to ensure all required onsite records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures Create a working atmosphere that promotes openness and a high level of enthusiasm and morale in the field Investigate accidents and close calls as appropriate. Prepare and maintain required reports and identify countermeasures to prevent reoccurrences Provides safety orientation to crews at jobsites as needed Assist with Safety Onboarding programs; in some cases, lead the onboarding Performs additional assignments as required by operating needs of the company or as directed by upper management. Maintain compliance with prequalification vendors. (Avetta, ISN, etc.) Specific Job Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills; use of both coaching and teaching communication styles Effective time management skills: ability to prioritize and multi-task Excellent customer service skills Understand and follow protocol for the proper lines of communication (i.e., understand whom our contract is with) Clear understanding of Company mission and values Ability to work independently and as part of team Education / Experience Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction field safety or similar field, experience preferred Current OSHA 510 certification preferred Understanding of applicable federal, state, local and company safety regulations Ability to travel throughout our geographical footprint Essential Attributes Technical proficiency Knowledge of OSHA compliance standards/workplace safety practices Time management and teamwork Comprehensive Benefits - note that these may vary depending on what the opcos or corporate offers.
