Responsibilities Develop and implement sourcing strategies that result in a sustainable competitive advantage. Perform RF(x) events to drive competitive pressure and ensure maximum value is realized. Perform market analysis in identifying best cost country sourcing of said category, provide guidance to R&D and Tech Ops with supplier innovations. Interact and partner with OPS, Supplier Quality, R&D, Legal, and other key stakeholder groups Negotiate contracts that provide year-over-year benefits in performance for all aspects of quality, service, innovation, and cost. Develop tier 1 supplier capability roadmaps; understand tier 2 critical suppliers and materials. Gather market intelligence and trends for relevant categories and associated sub-categories Identify insourcing and outsourcing opportunities in partnership with OPS manufacturing strategy Rationalize existing supplier base through stratification, market analysis, supplier development, and supplier consolidation. Conduct Supplier Business Reviews Demonstrate leadership, customer service, problem solving, communication, negotiation, tact, judgment, and organizational skills Travel domestically and internationally upwards of 30%. Perform additional responsibilities or assignments as directed by management. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher in supply chain, engineering, economics, law, business, or equivalent. 10+ years or more experience in Strategic Sourcing. Knowledge of working in FDA regulated industries Ability to partner with and influence internal technical experts Global Category Management experience (Strategy Development and Execution in accordance to Strategic Sourcing methodology) Demonstrated leadership, customer service, problem solving, communication, negotiation, tact, judgment, and organizational skills Positive and energetic team player with strong cross-functional team experience Ability to work independently with minimal supervision High attention to detail Strong analytical skills As an employee of CooperSurgical, you'll receive an outstanding total compensation plan.
