This role is pivotal in driving our success in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates on large and complex projects as required by clients documents, providing complete conceptual and total bid price. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to leverage your expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, working on some of the most exciting projects in the industry. Responsibilities: 1. Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades. 2. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and clients to ensure competitive advantage. 3. Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to develop comprehensive understanding of projects. 4. Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness. 5. Manage bid pricing from all vendors and select and analyze subcontractor quotations for best value/compliance with the project goals. 6. Participate in the presentation of project proposals. 7. Monitor and compare construction costs and price trends, utilizing this data in the preparation of estimates. 8. Participate in preconstruction meetings to ensure understanding of project scope, requirements and project plans. 9. Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs, etc.) to project management team. 10. Lead the project handoff to operations team once the project is secured. Qualifications: 1. Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field is required. 2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior Estimator in the construction industry. 3. Proficient in cost estimation and project estimation techniques. 4. Extensive knowledge of construction costs and principles. 5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment. 8. Strong negotiation skills with experience in managing vendor relationships. 9. Proficiency in relevant software, including spreadsheets and database management. 10. Ability to read and understand technical specifications and blueprints.
