Job Details SUMMARY: Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of the Maintenance function, including buildings and equipment; coordinates work needed to keep the plant in operation; establishes good lines of communication between mechanical and plant operations; maintains an effective preventative maintenance schedule; and controls mechanical inventories. Encourage good work habits and promote safety. Develop a staff of competent personnel capable of performing their job requirements satisfactorily. Manage on-site projects during implementation to meet design and time objectives. Plan, develop, and provide the expertise in implementing and achieving efficient utilization of the workforce and plant facilities to achieve specific quality standards safely and efficiently. Assist and support the Plant Engineer in all aspects of the maintenance department. Encourage and promote safety. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 TO WORK AT TRIUMPH FOODS. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following : Other duties may be assigned. Assist in identifying, developing, and implementing special projects that will achieve or exceed established labor goals by recommending new methods, layouts, and/or equipment changes. Be familiar with OSHA and FSIS regulations. Coordinates and collaborates with other departments in the plant in establishing and carrying out responsibilities. Provide timely and accurate performance information on all aspects of the operations at the plant within the area of responsibility. Assists in the design of maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods; Diagnose breakdown problems and develop ways to pre-empt breakdowns by developing strategies to improve the overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel, and production processes. Arrange procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components for use in special projects or the repair or installation of equipment. Develop a collaborative relationship with others with whom you must maintain good rapport in order to successfully accomplish your job. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have at least a High School diploma or equivalent. Three (3) to five (5) years of electrical field experience. Experience working in a manufacturing facility is preferred. KNOWLEDGE: Working understanding of electrical maintenance and engineering. Ability to comply with food safety and GMPs. LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Possess a Master Electrician license. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from maintenance supervisors, workers, and employees. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must effectively communicate with USDA, OSHA, production, and management personnel. Bilingual skills are a plus. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations. Demonstrated ability to understand basic statistics for process control. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagram, written, and/or verbal form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and learn and effectively use any and all other computer programs that are or will be made available. SQF Certification preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands here are representative of those an employee should possess to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
