Clinical Care Technician (CCT), Med SurgReq #: Category:Certified Nursing Assistant / Nurse Aide Status:Part-Time Shift:Evening Facility:Trinitas Regional Medical Center Department:Medical-Surgical Unit4100/4700 Location: WILLIAMSON STREET, 235 Williamson Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07202 Job Overview: The highly-skilled, and accomplished, care team at Trinitas Regional Medical Center supports a 38 Bed Medical Surgical Unit with a broad range of patient care needs, and often supports some higher acuity patients. The team is looking for a team member that has a love for the Medical Surgical specialty or someone who is eager to grow in a diverse and ever-changing patient area. Our Clinical Care Techs, an integral part of our patient s care and clinical team, provide emotional and clinical support to our patients and their families. Scheduling Requirements: Evening Shift, 24 Hours per week [3:00PM 11:30PM] Monday Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation Qualifications: High School Diploma required AHA BLS prior to start date required Completion of a nursing fundamentals course and/or Certified Nursing Assistant program preferred Previous experience as a Clinical Care Technician (CCT) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred Med Surg, Telemetry, and/or acute clinical experience desired Essential Functions: The Clinical Care Technician (CCT) provides direct patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The CCT will promote and implement, in conjunction with the RN, the concept of patient and family-centered care. The CCT observes and reports patient s responses to intervention/treatment. They will greet and escort newly admitted patients, prepare patient environments for admission and/or transfer, and assure patients have appropriate identification bands on at all times. The CCT will also assist with feeding, bathing, and other duties associated with different patient care needs.
