Worklyn Partners is an investment firm focused on making control investments in technology services providers. We have acquired 5 businesses to-date, and we plan to invest in an 5-8 additional companies over the next two years. The culture of the firm can be summarized as "finance meets startup." As a first-time fund, we all work extremely hard and pride ourselves on our collegial atmosphere.We are actively recruiting a Senior Associate focused on deal sourcing and fund operations, who will report to two of the Partners. The Senior Operations Associate will fulfill various critical internal functions, from helping to source and diligence new deals and elevating our brand via thought online leadership, to organizing important events, owning administrative functions and projects such as insurance and 401K, and facilitating communications across the operating companies that we own,This position comes with the potential for massive career acceleration. Ultimately, we hope that this candidate will grow (with our firm) into a Chief of Staff role. The position requires the candidate to be in New York City, and come into the office (Soho, NYC) 4-5 days per week, depending on the week. Occasional travel will be required as well. What you'll focus on: Support Sourcing & Diligence Process: Manage our "deal" pipeline of acquisition targets, meet company founders (in some cases), and perform initial high-level company diligence, with opportunity to do more as you progress with us.Lead Event Planning: Organize and execute events with potential acquisition targets, customers, andor advisors and industry leaders.Own Thought Leadership Brand Building: Manage the fund's online social media presence, which will include bi-monthly blog posts, posts on Linkedin and other social media accountsSupport HR & Hiring Processes: Lead the HR function for the PE fund and support the HR and recruiting lead who leads hiring processes for the five technology services companies that we own.Coordinate Cross-Company Communications: Facilitate meetings and communication across the executive teams of each operating company that we own, and across the sales, marketing, and operations teams of each company.Other Special Projects and Administrative Tasks You'll Help With:Schedule meetings involving the founders of Worklyn PartnersManage our internship programCompile information and coordinate information requests and communication with various third-parties, including insurance providers, 401K providers, banks, third party accountants and lawyers, and investorsComplete various administrative and Office Management tasks as neededSpecial projects as tasked by the President and CEO - for example, we need someone to work with our lawyers to complete a certain audit of all our companies. What you have:Bachelor's degreeThree years or more of similarrelevant work experienceExperience in Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)Professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify and communicate.Strong interpersonal skills that enable effective collaboration with senior executivesAble to safely and tactfully manage highly sensitive and confidential data.
