Job Summary: We are seeking a Banquet Setup Attendant to join our team. The Attendant is responsible for the efficient and timely setup of banquets, meetings, and other events as needed. This includes physically setting up room configurations, carrying and lifting tables, chairs, staging equipment, and other items necessary for successful events. The Attendant must maintain the cleanliness and organization of all function spaces, including storage rooms, and ensure all equipment is in proper working order. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications: - Experience in banquet setup preferred but not required - Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds consistently - Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment - Must be flexible with schedule, including weekends and holidays Responsibilities: - Set up and breakdown banquet functions in accordance with hotel and departmental standards - Carry and lift tables, chairs, staging equipment, and other items necessary for successful events - Maintain cleanliness and organization of all front and back of house function space, including storage rooms, before, during, and after an event - Ensure all equipment is in proper working order and report any maintenance issues - Provide exceptional customer service to guests and clients - Communicate with the event coordinator and other team members to ensure the successful execution of events - Follow all safety procedures and policies
