Senior Airport Civil Engineer - R-118999 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: How will you contribute to the team? * Leads/supports coordination with diverse design teams comprised of variety of design professionals and multi-discipline subconsultants during design and construction phases. * Oversees design elements and leads production of engineering drawings for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, roadway, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure. * Prepares specifications, contract documents, and other project related documents such as estimates, reports, and permit applications. * Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost-effective solution. * Performs field observations of construction where appropriate. * Coordinates with clients, permitting agencies, FAA, and other agencies having jurisdiction as required. * Participates in quality control checks, maintaining quality standards in all work produced, checking computations, and/or reviewing designs and drawings performed by others. * Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct. * Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary What will you contribute? * B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering in Engineering and have 5-10 years of experience. * PE License is preferred but not required. * Experience with airside and landside aviation projects. * Detailed knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, airport design, and engineering standards. * Good interpersonal skills. * Strong technical writing and communications skills. * Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam. Expected compensation range is between $85,000 - $120,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
