Your Role: The Electrical Engineer at MilliporeSigma in St. Louis, MO is a critical engineering role that is responsible for a variety of electrical engineering tasks. Specific responsibilities include: Ensure electrical design and equipment installations/refurbishments at Cherokee site is following relevant OSHA, NFPA, NEMA, NEC, etc. and MilliporeSigma standards. Lead and participate in site electrical and instrumentation audits. Project deliverables include electrical and project estimates, electrical equipment specifications, power distribution and grounding design review, equipment and materials purchase requisitions, electrical drawings, construction bid packages, and qualification of electrical equipment including medium and low voltage distribution and motors/pumps. You will plan, design, and manage capital (and expense) projects having focus on electrical infrastructure (or other) with fixed schedules and budgets. Additional duties include evaluation of site power requirements and providing project startup and other site electrical troubleshooting support as needed. Specific project duties include preparing/modifying project electrical specifications and summaries for design packages, working with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivering value, reviewing electrical project/vendor drawings, and supporting construction. Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. 5+ years of experience in a industrial or manufacturing Electrical Engineering role. Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license. Master's Electrician License in the state of Missouri or an Industrial Maintenance Electrician's License in St. Louis City. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Chemical/pharmaceutical maintenance and/or project experience. Comprehensive knowledge with electrical classifications (Class 1, Division 1, etc.) Working knowledge of PSM and GMP standards. Experience with Emerson DeltaV or other DCS and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs, in addition to other process automation equipment such as VFDs, instrumentation, and discrete control devices. Knowledge of applicable NFPA (NEC) and NEMA codes. Extensive Engineering knowledge in hazardous electrical area classification, PSM design requirements, and medium/low voltage electrical systems.
