Job Title: Shipping Supervisor Location: Cleveland, OH Business Unit: Team Wendy Purpose of Position: The Shipping Supervisor at Team Wendy will oversee all aspects of outbound logistics operations to ensure the accurate, timely, and cost-effective distribution of products. This role will involve managing the shipping team, coordinating with various departments such as inventory control and production, and ensuring that shipping processes comply with company standards and customer requirements. The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for optimizing daily workflows, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring the efficient use of resources. A key part of the role is to foster team collaboration and ensure all shipments are processed in accordance with quality and regulatory standards. Essential Duties and/or Functions: Leading and mentoring the shipping team to meet daily operational goals Managing shipping schedules and ensuring timely dispatch of goods Ensuring compliance with safety standards and shipping regulations Collaborating with the inventory, production, and customer service departments Analyzing shipping performance and identifying areas for improvement Monitoring inventory levels to ensure seamless order fulfillment Required Minimum Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred). Experience: 3-5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management role. Knowledge: Strong understanding of shipping processes, industry regulations, and best practices. Leadership: Aptitude to lead, mentor, and manage a team effectively. Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Communication: Ability to work collaboratively across departments. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods in a warehouse setting. Preferred/Desired Skills and/or Experiences: Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Logistics Associate (CLA), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or similar. Experience: 5+ years of experience in shipping or logistics, with 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role. Process Improvement: Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze shipping performance metrics and implement process improvements. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with protective gear, manufacturing, or similar industry-specific logistics requirements. Hazards: Experience with standard operating procedures for dealing with controlled and hazardous products. The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Cleveland, OH is $65,000 - $85,000 annually.
