SUMMARY: This Program Manager will manage the program and serve as the point of contact for rotation employees, providing guidance on performance and answering questions about the program. Experience in software engineering is essential to create the curriculum. JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a skilled, highly motivated, and self-driven Engineering L&D Program Manager to join our dynamic technology team. The individual will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and continuously improving a comprehensive training program for entry-level engineers. This role fosters technical expertise, professional development, and career growth within the engineering organization. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps, knowledge requirements, and future development needs of engineers. Design and develop engaging and effective training curricula, including onboarding programs for new hires, technical skills training, professional development workshops, and leadership programs. Incorporate a variety of training methodologies, such as online courses, in-person workshops, mentoring programs, job shadowing, and cross-functional projects. Collaborate with engineering managers to align training programs with performance goals and individual development plans. Develop assessment tools to measure the impact of training on employee performance and skill development. Manage logistics for hiring and training events, including scheduling, venue selection, and materials preparation. Track participant progress, provide feedback, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. Construct and maintain an environment and culture of integrity, trust, feedback, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Communicate effectively about the training program's goals, progress, and impact. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of training initiatives. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in leading software development projects/programs. Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and technologies. Experience in designing and delivering technical training programs. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Nice to Have: Previous full-stack engineering experience on front-end and back-end technologies (modern Python, Node, Typescript, and React). Serverless technology architecture, development, and delivery experience (preferably using AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, or AWS Event Bridge). Experience with SQL (Postgres, SQL Server) and NoSQL (DynamoDb) solutions. -- Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
