Responsibilities include: Assisting the design team with preparation of raodway drainage and stormwater designs; Performing Hydrology and hydraulics design calculation and analyzing existing projects; Coordinating with multiple utility owners, MDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies; Preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects; Preparing design computations and quantity estimates; Assisting with quantity take offs and cost estimates for projects. Some travel will be require The successful candidate must have the following: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering or environmental engineering from an accredited college or university EIT or ability to pass FE exam within six month of hire date Transportation and/or hydrology and hydraulics related coursework Previous internship in civil or transportation engineering The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation software experience Ability to read engineering plans, contours, and drafting Previous civil engineering internship Utility coordination and design experience Municipal engineering design experience At Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
