PA Design Engineer

Job Description Perform detailed transistor-level RFIC design and development, focusing on highly efficient and linear RF power amplifiers, primarily between 1 and 5 GHz for next-generation Cellular 5G NR applications. "ƒDesign multi-chip modules, integrating multiple technologies including SOI switches and BAW Filters "ƒDesign and run detailed circuit and EM simulations using RFIC EDA tools (e.g. Keysight ADS, HFSS) to accurately predict performance of final product. "ƒImplement RF integrated circuits including layout of all active and passive circuit elements, along with design verification (design rule checking and layout-versus-schematic). "ƒPlan and support test and measurement for evaluation of prototype designs. Document and summarize design data to support team members. Skills and Requirements Proficiency with Keysight ADS and/or similar simulators for all stages of RFIC design and HFSS "ƒDetailed transistor-level knowledge of RF and microwave circuit design techniques including linear power amplifier design; high-efficiency power amplifier design, low noise amplifiers, bias circuits, and module design. "ƒUse of EM simulators such as ADS Momentum, ADS FEM, and/or Ansys HFSS in conjunction with circuit simulators to accurately predict overall circuit performance.
