Union County Common Pleas Court Paralegal DESCRIPTION The Union County Common Pleas Judge is now seeking a full-time Paralegal. Under administrative direction of the Magistrate, the Paralegal will perform legal research; draft orders, bench notes, bench briefs; attend pertinent court proceedings; serve as court contact for attorneys and pro-se litigants on civil cases; serve as backup bailiff; assist with specific criminal and domestic cases as needed; and perform routine clerical and administrative tasks as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Completion of an associate's degree or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies; two (2) or more years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Selected individual must also be capable of passing a comprehensive pre-employment background investigation. LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Paralegal certification preferred.
