This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a small, manageable book of business while primarily overseeing and coaching a team of 12 Account Managers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing commercial lines, along with strong leadership abilities to mentor and develop staff. The position has the potential to earn a partially remote arrangement after six months of demonstrated success. Commercial Insurance Service Manager Job Responsibilities Manage a small book of business to stay involved in day-to-day operations, including the full renewal process from pre-renewal meetings to policy binding. Oversee and mentor a team of 12 Account Managers, ensuring they meet their goals and provide excellent client service. Handle staffing responsibilities, including hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and team development. Conduct twice-weekly team huddles and monthly 1:1 meetings with team members to address goals, performance, and concerns. Manage the department's workflows, including renewals, endorsements, risk analysis, and preparing proposals for underwriting review. Step in to cover for Account Managers on leave and assist with Workers Compensation leads when needed. Ensure adherence to company procedures and modern technology platforms, including Epic and Indio. Foster collaboration across departments by joining branch huddles and coordinating with other managers. Monitor and contribute to the agencys growth and book retention goals to earn performance-based bonuses. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in managing commercial insurance, with at least 2 years in a team management or leadership role. Experience managing small- to mid-market (Smiddle) commercial lines business. Strong leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring, staff development, and performance management. Proficient with Epic and Indio, or similar agency management systems. Licensed in WA Property & Casualty; additional designations preferred. Comfortable with a detail-oriented and structured work environment, with the ability to meet deadlines and provide accurate service. Independent broker experience required; no carriers, captives, or direct writers. No job hoppers; stable work history is a must. Must be near one of the companys offices or, in exceptional cases, be an experienced candidate who requires no training and can work remotely. [OUTRO]
