Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shifts; 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3x12 Hr Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience License: Illinois State RN License in good standing Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association) - ACLS (American Heart Association) - NRP (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) - Proficiency in English: Speak, Read, Write Job Description: - Assume responsibility for a group of patients during a designated time frame.- Provide care using the nursing process, trends, and available resources.- Perform responsibilities specific to the unit's scope of service.- Implement procedures and theories related to obstetric practice.- Maintain up-to-date, accurate documentation for the healthcare team.- Complete initial patient assessments and develop care plans.- Modify care plans based on continuous patient Ensure patient and employee safety, reporting or correcting safety hazards.- Communicate effectively to resolve issues and provide feedback.- Identify learning needs and pursue appropriate solutions.- Fulfill departmental competencies.- Provide care to inpatient obstetric patients and monitor fetal well-being.- Administer medication specific to obstetric Offer patient education related to obstetric care.- Participate in the care of the patient and newborn during labor, delivery, and surgical delivery.
