Manufacturing Engineer Job Number: 353044 Category: Manufacturing Engineering Description: Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Decatur, IL Zip Code: 62526 Start Date: Right Away Job Type: Contract Pay Rate: Starting at $37.50/hr Schedule: 3rd shift 11:00am - 7:00am Keywords: #ManufacturingEngineer #EngineeringJobs JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: · Welding Robot Programmer, Welding Technician is responsible for troubleshooting welding robot issues to minimize machine downtime. · Assist in training new robot operators, communicating with both the Section Manager and 1st shift Programmer observations made during shift. · Teaching and guiding less experienced welders with proper welding technique, welding defect identification, welding defect remediation and general welding process troubleshooting. · Enabling the Value Stream"s PQVC goals to be met. · This job will be robot/manual welding support on off-shift. · Must be able to trouble shoot robot errors and help out with manual welding and tooling questions REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: · 2-years of experience in a manufacturing environment. · 2-year technical degree desired but not required. · Proven ability to work safely. · Must exhibit exemplary attendance. · Need to have previous robot programming or has operated a robot before and manual welding background. · Extensive hands-on heavy welding experience of at least 2-years with the GMAW process. · Robot Operator/Programmer experience. · Previous weld teaching experience desired. · Action oriented problem solver. · Ability to train/motivate others. · Approachable and maintain composure under stress. · Exceptional communication skills with all functional groups.
