Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking talented and motivated Electronics Engineers to join our team! HII's Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Sr Electronics Engineer to support our government customer at The Tobyhanna Army Depot in Tobyhanna, PA. As our new Electronics Engineer you will provide recommendations to management regarding automated testing proposals on a broad array of communications/electronics systems utilizing an in-depth knowledge of automated testing procedures and ATE platforms. You will plan for, direct, and monitor Test Program Development/Maintenance workload activities in support of the test/overhaul functions relating to communications/electronics commodities, to include program objectives, facilities, training, technical specifications/standards, test methods/procedures, overhaul production testing methods, etc. HII's expertise in wireless communication includes 50+ years of performing RF Engineering for DoD, gov. agencies, and commercially both in the US and overseas, analyzing, and formatting spectrum data, including frequency assignment, spectrum certification, LiDAR, and other geo-referenced data. Our Scientists and Engineers support diverse tasks such as spectrum forensics and deconfliction, testing for coverage amid urban clutter, and antenna site planning. What you will do: Performs analysis on communications/electronics workload targeted for the EASL including CCA and microelectronics design, fabrication, and repair efforts as well as automated testing procedures Performs activities in support of design analysis, production, and testing of assigned products. Provides guidance and assistance to other engineers, equipment specialists, and techniques to achieve objectives. Completes and performs reviews of completed designs/processes/procedures/reports to assure that applicable engineering theories, principles, and techniques have been used and that overall objectives have been achieved. Develops cost estimates for microelectronics, CCA, and test program set development, conversions, and updates. Interfaces with Major Subordinate Commands, Project Managers and their representatives, including private contractors to exchange information and resolve mutual problems. Makes preliminary study and appraisal of requirements for new microelectronics efforts and ATE platforms to support current as well as future workload involving new electronic device and printed circuit board. By means of conferences and discussions with representatives of industry and major subordinate commands, determines overall requirements, both current and projected and evaluating existing microelectronics capabilities and ATE platforms against present and future requirements taking into consideration the overall operations at the installation. Serves as a lead for microelectronics and ATE and in matters related to microelectronics and Automated Testing proposals and techniques for the assigned systems in dealings with private contractors, Major Subordinate Commands (MSC), and with Depot management personnel, as well as representing the activity in meetings. Performs role of technical liaison between government agencies and contractor personnel Provides guidance and assistance to team members as well as other engineers and technicians in analyzing and appraising problem areas encompassing microelectronics and test program development activities and their resultant support functions in the test/overhaul mission at the installation. Performs operational analysis and provides technical assistance relating to design/testability issues covering a broad spectrum of communication/electronic systems. Maintains contacts with other engineering groups, government agencies and manufacturers for the purpose of keeping abreast of current developments in new microelectronics, Automated Test Equipment, and printed circuit board (PCB) technologies. Plans, monitors and maintains vigilance over project-related tasks and personnel, ensures optimal techniques and procedures are followed, assists or provides technical assistance to personnel involved in microelectronics and TPS development assignments, coordinates the identification and acquisition of all resources to provide for efficient and timely completion of project, ensures appropriate reporting, and provides appropriate representation at higher level meetings regarding microelectronics ,TPS and ATE issues. Coordinates with Division and various Directorate personnel to monitor, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of Test Program Set and Automated Testing procedures and programs throughout the installation. Attends Joint working groups, scientific meetings, and conferences in representing the agency in mission directed activities. Attends project related In-Process Reviews (IPRs) and meetings with project managers, contractors, and engineering counterparts reporting on project workload functions and other agency activities. Prepares and conducts customer briefings and presentations in support of Tobyhanna Army depots mission objectives. What we are looking for: 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
