Purpose: The Technical Data Steward will design, develop, and maintain technology-based solutions to support the company's Data Governance practice. This role will be responsible for using appropriate Informatica tools to advance the data governance program and support Business Data Stewards in managing and overseeing the organization's data assets according to established Data Governance practices. The typical tasks will include developing and implementing Data Quality measurements, monitoring and dashboards, ensuring availability and visibility of the Data lineage across company data assets, populating and maintaining a Data Catalog that matches business and technical metadata. The Technical Data Steward role is crucial in ensuring that the company's data assets are effectively managed and governed, and that data is easily accessible and usable for the business. Roles & Responsibilities: Perform technical design, development, and maintenance for on-prem and cloud-based Informatica data management solutions within different enterprise domains (customer, claims, policy, agent, billing, etc.) perform the design, development, and maintenance of Informatica processes to support AMIG Data Governance goals such as Data Quality, Data profiling, Metadata management, Data Discovery, Data catalog, and Data lineage. Utilize hands-on Informatica ecosystem technical experience in establishing data lineage visualization, capturing profiling statistics, building data quality scorecards and dashboards, creating workflows and enabling data discovery by linking business and technical metadata as part of data catalog development. Build automated, replicable and scalable Informatica solutions by assessing the Data Stewards needs and by liaising with data stewards, business teams, project managers, and system/dataset owners and custodians. Create realistic use cases to demonstrate proposed solution viability to AMIG Data customers and Data Stewards. Create and maintain technical data documentation. Lead and/or participate in design and support sessions across business team and lines of business. Communicate and align delivery dates and integration/implementation efforts. Analyze preferences and requests of end users. Stay current on Informatica product enhancements and participate in Informatica events and training. Required Technical Skills: Expertise in design and development of Data catalog, Data Quality, and Data Governance solutions using Informatica suite of Data management tools (IDMC, CDCC). Solid SQL skills. Strong collaboration and communication skills across the organization with key partners, IT, and stakeholders including AMIG Data Council/Data Stewards and Global Enterprise architecture team. Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, Databricks). Exposure to data presentation tools such as Power BI. Technical to Business Translator. Must be able to present and explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Critical thinking skills. Ability to resolve complex issues independently and escalate to management as needed. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Strong sense of ownership for the deliverables. Skills / Knowledge / Experience: Demonstrates at least 5 years of recent expertise with hands-on design and development using Informatica Data Management suite of tools (on-prem/cloud) preferable in the insurance or other regulated industry. Education, Certifications & Designations: Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, any of the Engineering disciplines, or a related field from an accredited college/university. Preferred: Informatica Data Quality/Data Governance certification. Experience in development of Informatica tools in the cloud.
