Description: Custom Engineering is currently seeking 1st and 2nd shift CNC Machinists to operate horizontal boring mills, vertical mills and bridge mills. Create a set up and remove workpieces from a machine per procedure Proficiently use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerances Proficient at performing in-process inspections at a machine and adjusting various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as required Position and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes Study blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work procedures Proficient knowledge in general machining practices Ability to recognize tooling types and procedures for machining close tolerances About Us Custom Engineering is a heavy fabrication, welding, and machine shop conveniently located less than a mile off the Bayfront Parkway on McClelland Ave. Our ability to complete complex jobs both long-run and short-run, top-of-the-line machinery, and outstanding quality allow us to serve many industries including oil & gas, construction, mining, transportation, power generation, and entertainment. Experience in CNC operation/schooling Proficient in reading and understanding documents, blueprints and basic GD&T Knowledge of addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals and calculate tooling speeds and feeds Proficient knowledge of CNC controls and G-code commands Ability to adjust/set tool lengths, set work offsets, and make adjustments within a program Crane experience Forklift experience Compensation details: 20-24 Hourly Wage PI5dd5a74e7dbf-
