Construction Estimator

HIS Constructors, Inc is a leader in providing environmental remediation, civil construction, and industrial services. As an established nationwide contractor, we are looking for an experienced Construction estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for the performance of the project management and administrative responsibilities. A Construction Estimator prepares bid packages, conceptual estimates, analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for projects. Maintains current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact and written materials, price lists, etc. Prepares cost estimates for change orders. Works with owners, A/E's, and project team to resolve technical matters during negotiation and project construction. This position will primarily deal with site development and utility work. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Organization and attention to detail are critical for specific tasks as well as for general operations functionality. Education and/or Experience: Four-year college degree in construction management or related discipline. At least five years progressive project management experience in the civil construction industry. Must have construction, site development, excavation, utility background The following skills and abilities are required for this position: Minimum 40-hour work week. (Overtime will most likely be required.) Ability to work on new estimates and supervise multiple current projects simultaneously.
