Chart Industries is looking for a Cryogenic Mechanical Engineer for our Cryo Technologies office in Allentown, PA. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for technical engineering during all stages of the Cryo Technologies engineering, design and fabrication of equipment for Hydrogen and Helium Liquefiers from initiation of the contract to job close. **_What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be_** + Pipe ASME B31.3 and B31.12 using Caesar II. + ASME Pressure Vessel Code calculations using COMPRESS + Finite element analysis of vacuum cold boxes, valve boxes, and equipment skids using ANSYS. + Heat leak calculation and evaluation + Vendor and fabricator inspections and commissioning/start-up support + Identify and pursue technical and commercial resolution to project changes + Work with Project Controls and Quality groups as required to support project and departmental requirements. + Provide technical assistance and problem resolution + Coordinate mechanical design activities in order to comply with all design codes, safety regulations, government and regulatory agencies + Review and apply mechanical design specifications to engineering, design and fabrication efforts + Review and approve fabrication drawings and documents + Review, understand and interpret Customer specifications and contract requirements **_Your Education Should Be_** + Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering + 5+ years hands on mechanical engineering experience + Equivalent combination of education and experience **_Your Professional Experience Should Be_** + Ability to manage multiple parallel projects + Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, + Experience with various engineering software including ANSYS,Caesar II, COMPRESS, and SolidWorks is a plus. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills + Ability to work with minimal supervision + Ability to work and succeed in a team environment + Experience working in an environment where responsibility and accountability was expected + Conflict resolution skills + Experience working with Industry Standard Codes (ASME Section VIII, B31.3, B31.12; ISC, ASTM, AWS, OSHA, CGA) and or international equivalents (PED, CRN, CML) + Industrial Fabrication or Construction experience + Understanding of other Engineering disciplines + Cryogenic gas processing including natural gas, helium, hydrogen purification, liquefaction and distribution, and separation and rejection facilities. **_Chart is an equal opportunity employer..._** **_Need an ** Need an accommodation **with your job application or recruitment process** ?
