Description The Leidos Innovations Center is seeking a Lead Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative RF technologies for future Defense systems. You'll work on designing, developing, and demonstrating new RF technologies that could enhance performance in compact form factors, enabling new Defense capabilities. Key Responsibilities Utilize expertise in RF metamaterials to analyze performance and size, weight, and power for disruptive RF payloads Utilize modeling tools to project performance vs power consumption trades for disruptive RF systems Collaborate with RF engineers to evaluate and mature RF technologies, and develop a pipeline for integration into deployable systems Basic Qualifications Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in engineering, physics, or equivalent field with relevant experience Proficiency in computational electromagnetics and antenna systems Expertise in RF device design using finite element-based design tools Strong understanding of material electrical and mechanical properties Experience in RF device concepts such as metamaterials and time-varying systems Strong communication skills, mission-oriented, and proficient in technical writing Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or Doctorate in engineering, physics, or equivalent field is preferred Experience in designing and testing electrically-small antenna systems Experience in proposal development and business development Leidos is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
