Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer Company: Nolte Precise Manufacturing Location: Cincinnati, OH Company Vision: To be an industry expert for supplying precision machined components and assemblies to OEMs in the U.S.A. Primary Job Duties: Know and understand all the applicable specifications required and implications to the process for successful order fulfilment, including Delivery dates and associated costs. Communicate with customer engineering or quality personnel when required. Design and/or build the fixturing/work holding concept for applicable equipment and verify its success. Design/build special or custom tools for the project requirements and verify success. Design/build inspection process or work with Quality to oversee the project and verify its effectiveness. Able to use CAD/CAM System from a 3D model, or create models/drawings for processing, including In-Process drawings for Quality requirements. Ensure process is sufficiently documented for Setup, Toolroom and Production to successfully execute their part of the plan. Set up, run and verify the first part independently or while training setup or production personnel. Verify inspection frequencies and instruments for application and effectiveness. Monitor initial production and update process as required to be production ready. Document changes as it hands over to the operator. Maintain regular operator, team lead or setup personnel input to identify opportunities for improvement. Use troubleshooting skills and analysis tools to solve and document solutions to problems. Check work for accuracy and verify that work is completed to standards Design tooling to support safety, quality, and productivity objectives. Work cohesively with other departments and coworkers. Manage projects in a team environment. Follow policies and procedures, Vision, Values, Principles, and Philosophies. Maintain acceptable attendance. Any specifically assigned task. Knowledge & Skill Requirements: Associate's degree or equivalent engineering experience required. Hands-on mentality. Microsoft Office software. CAD/CAM Modeling. Full comprehension of Macro-based CNC programming. Set up / Journeyman / Toolroom experience preferred. Strong knowledge of CNC and conventional machining processes of various metals. Strong understanding of practical application and verification of GD&T. Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50lbs, including bending, twisting, crouching, etc. Must be able to stand for long periods and move around in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to work with oils/coolants. Must be able to work in noisy environment.
