Position Overview for Sous Chef Line Cook: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Sous Chef Line Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will work closely with our Chef De Cuisine and Dining Services team to create high-quality meals that cater to our residents' diverse dietary needs. Key Responsibilities as a Sous Chef Line Cook: Meal Preparation: Expertly prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established menus, ensuring that dietary preferences and needs are met. Team Leadership: Assist in supervising kitchen staff and ensuring that food preparation and presentation meet our high standards. Inventory Management: Help maintain inventory levels by receiving, rotating, and organizing food products for freshness and quality. Food Safety: Uphold all safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations. Creativity and Collaboration: Work with the culinary team to develop new recipes and contribute to menu planning, bringing innovative ideas to the table. Experience and Education Requirements: High School Diploma (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of experience in a culinary role; culinary degree preferred. Must be able to obtain any required food handling and sanitation certifications. Previous experience in a senior living or hospitality setting is a plus.
